Once the “snowman” of grate cooler formed, it is very difficult to deal with. There will be great potential safety hazard when cleaning grate cooler “snowman”. Plant has to slow down kiln to take care of “Snowman” when things are getting worse, which may has great negative effects on production line. 1.Working principle of “snowman” device is simple: To push hydraulic cylinder by using special designed hydraulic station, To push pushing board by power generated form hydraulic cylinder, pushing board is flexible with hydraulic cylinder’s movement. Pushing board will go back to front wall of grate cooler when it is not working. There is a seal between pushing board and front wall of grate cooler. Front end of pushing board is made of heat-resisting steel sheet and is poured by heat-resisting castable. Pushing board will stretch out along with rack with riding wheels and tracks when it is working. “Snowman” will be push away by pushing one time or several times. When job is finished, pushing board will go back to front wall position.
